Internal Revenue Service approves us as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

After many months of deliberation, discussion, and preparation, the IRS has issued our formal approval letter recognizing us as a legitimate 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Initially we were going to try and submit the extremely detailed and complicated (for us) application by doing it ourselves. Thankfully we were able to find a law firm in Tucson who had grant monies that could be used to have the law firm complete and submit the application in a “formal” manner. With the discounted legal rate from the law firm and the grant monies, Wheelchair Athletes Worldwide came into “legal” existence. The law firm and the family trust who made the money available chose to stay anonymous. We thank them greatly!
